Betty C. Morey Hemond, 89, of Wallingford, formerly of New Haven, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. Betty was born in Hornell, New York on October 26, 1923; daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Corning Morey; had worked for Honeywell Systems for many years until her retirement. Mother of Judith (Joseph) McLeod, Sr. of New Haven, Robert (Cathy) Daggs of West Haven and Allen Daggs of Hamden. Grandmother of Jonathan McLeod, Robert Daggs, Jr, Shawn Daggs and the late Joseph McLeod, Jr. Sister of Joann Woodworth of Hornell, NY and the late Angeline Woodworth, Joseph Morey, Helen Amidon, Jeannie Chase and Frank “Sonny†Morey, Jr. Predeceased this past May by her beloved dog of fifteen years, Vince.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning, Dec. 27th at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Francis Church, New Haven at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 26th from 5 to 8 pm.

To the McLeod Family, We are so sorry for the lost of your mom, grandmother and mother-in-law. You know that if there is anything we can do for you we are there. She is with love ones who are no longer with us phycially, but she is with us in spirit . Most of all she and Vince are back together at home.
