Ralph Lupo, 91, of 150 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire, long-time resident of Carroll Street, Stamford, passed away December 23, 2012 at the CT Hospice, Branford. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lois Mae Hall Lupo; daughters Lois (Thomas) Bernardi of Hamden and Priscilla (Richard) Stone of Milton VT; a sister Nancy Karlinsky of Roanoke VA; a brother Albert (Jean) Lupo of San Diego CA; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Rose Mary Pinto Lupo, brothers Anthony Lupo and David Lupo and sisters Louise Nelson, Mary DeVeau, Ruth Ingaran, “Fannie” Sabia, Theresa Pinella and Sarah Lupo. Born in Jersey City NJ, Ralph was Shipping Manager at Stamford Rolling Mills, Howe Sound Copper and Brass, and Excelsior Hardware Company prior to his retirement in 1986. Ralph enjoyed gardening, walking, reading, square dancing with the Greenwich Squares, and traveling.
Friends and relatives may call at the home of Lois and Thomas Bernardi, 73 Birchwood Drive, Hamden on Friday December 28th from 2-7pm. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorial contributions made to Cheshire Public Library, 104 Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410 for their large print collection. There will be a memorial service at Elim Park at a later date. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven has been entrusted with the arrangements.
