Theresa G. Falcigno née D’Eugenio, 91, of Old Saybrook (and formally Northford), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 28, 2023 at Connecticut Hospice.  She was the beloved wife of the late Paul V. Falcigno. Born in New Haven on July 23, 1931; daughter of the late Michael and Philomena D’Eugenio.  Growing up in New Haven, Theresa fondly remembered days roaming the Italian neighborhood, playing with her brothers and sisters, and cooking and laughing alongside her mother.  At 18, she married the love of her life, Paul V. Falcigno, with whom she had three children. Theresa was a talented cook, seamstress, quilter, painter, and hairdresser.  She spent many years generously giving her time and talent to the residents at the Whitney Manor Convalescent Home, restoring their pride with each hairstyle and conversation.  Her second home on the shore of Franklin Pierce Lake in New Hampshire was filled with laughter, friends, and family.  Theresa’s legacy is the love she spread to her family and friends.  Always ready with a cup of coffee and a sweet, her ability to make anyone at home who came through her door was extraordinary. Mother of Paula (Thomas) Luby, Vincent (Joan) Falcigno, Mary Jo (Jason) Philhower. Grandmother of Elizabeth Luby, Caroline (Micah) Kaplan, Katherine Luby (Corey Dwyer), Maegan (Edward) Palmer, Emily Falcigno, Paul (Kelly) Falcigno, Katie (Tom) Gregory, Hannah Ferraro and Luke Ferraro.  Great-grandmother of Caitlin, Aidan, Abigail, Grant, Phillip, Wynona, Thomas, Edward, and Rose. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Theresa also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
