Philip Golino, 93, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Comeau Golino. Philip was born in New Haven on April 2, 1921; son of the late Angelo and Angelina Filetto Golino and served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WWII on the aircraft carrier USS Belleauwood. He had worked as a welder at Pratt and Whitney for 27 years; was a member V.F.W. #591 of Wallingford and the American Legion Murray/Reynolds Post #76. Father of Patricia Macolino, Thomas (Cecelia) Golino and the late Daniel Golino. Grandfather of Tara Macolino. Brother of Angelo (Eleanor) Golino, Anna Jacqueline, Phyllis (“Mickey”) DeFelice and the late Vito and Frank Golino, Mary Ciarelli and Carmel Dighello.

 

Funeral services were held on Saturday March 7th in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Burial followed in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
