Trifomena Amarante Esposito, 91, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the St. Raphael’s campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Esposito. Mrs. Esposito was born in New Haven on October 9, 1923; daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia Proto Amarante. She had worked as a sewing machine operator for the former Schwartz Manufacturing. Mother of Michael Esposito and Anthony (Marjorie) Esposito. Sister of Nancy (Santo) Piersanti, Andrew (Lee) Amarante and the late Madeline Minichino, Mary Fraulo, John, Joseph and Frank Amarante. Also surivived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
