Veronica Hamel Kivela, 76, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Yale-New Haven. She was the wife of the late Richard Kivela. Veronica was born in Woodsville, New Hampshire on June 16, 1939; daughter of the late Bernard B. and Doris Lance Kivela. She had worked for Sargent & Company and later for Goldratt Institute. Veronica enjoyed sewing and animals. She was a devoted mother to Mark Jordon. Sister of Richard Hamel and the late Robert and Virginia Hamel.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday afternoon at 1:00. Family and friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow in Northford Cemetery.
We are so sorry at Cousin Ronnie's passing. She loved her family and was steward of the Lance family history in ways that made us proud to be related. Our prayers are with you.
