David M. Grasso, Jr., 22, of Wallingford, formerly of East Haven, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 18, 2013. He was the beloved son of Theresa D’Agostino Grasso of Wallingford and David M. Grasso, Sr. (Melissa) of East Haven. David was born in New Haven on April 29, 1990 and attended East Haven High School. David was a loving, caring young man who had a big heart. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing sports. Brother of Jessica Mancini (Michael) of Wallingford, Hailey and Kaitlyn Grasso both of East Haven. Step-Brother of John Arminio III and Ashley Arminio both of East Haven. Grandson of Lorraine Grasso of New Haven, George D’Agostino, Sr. of Hamden and the late Frank Grasso, Sr. and Mary D’Agostino. Fiance of Sheri Petrillo who is the mother of Trinity Alvarado of Meriden. Godfather and uncle to Ariana Mancini. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. His pride and joy was his pit bull “Babyâ€.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Monica Church, 1331 Middletown Ave., Northford on Monday morning at 11:00 to attend a mass of Christian burial and are also invited to the attend the committal services immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.

Jessica, I am beyond words to express how sorry I am for the loss of your brother. I know how much you adored him & what an amazing uncle he was to Ariana. I wish I would of known sooner. So I could of been there to comfort you & show my respect. You are in my prayers & heart during this tragic time.
David you will be missed! You have gone much too soon and perhaps one day we will all meet again.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine your pain. I find these Scriptures to be very comforting; John 5:28-29; Revelation 21:3-4; Acts 24:15; and Isaiah 25:8. My prayers are with you that they will be a source of comfort to you also and that they will bring you peace.
