Thomas J. Myjak, Sr., 87, of East Haven, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of RoseMarie Corniello Myjak. Thomas was born in New Haven on October 20, 1925; son of the late Anthony and Agnes Majksza Myjak; served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during WW II; had worked as a Tool Maker for the former Marlin Firearms for many years until his retirement; had played softball in his earlier years and enjoyed duck pin bowling. Father of Anthony (Arlene) Myjak and Thomas (Corinne) Myjak all of North Haven. Grandfather of Cori, Rachel, Thomas III, Renee and Katie. Brother of Joseph Myjak of Hamden, Stanley Myjak of New Haven, Frank Myjak of Branford and the late Anthony, Walter & John Myjak, Anna Kornacki, Josephine Hribko, Mary Sanieski, Stella and Rose Myjak. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 10:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, New Haven at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm.
Our deepest sympathy to your family. Mr.Myjak was a great man. He always made me feel like part of the family. I have a lot of good and funny memories that were made with him. I will truly miss him. His two sons are a good example of the type of man and Father he truly was. I will miss him a lot. Love to all of you!
