Sandra Ferrucci Sandagata, 77, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of fifty-four years to Joseph S. Sandagata. Sandra was born in New Haven on October 4, 1935; daughter of the late Michael and Mary Zeidner Ferrucci; she received her Bachelor’s degree from West CT State University and her Master’s degree from Southern CT State University; was a music teacher for the East Haven, Tacoma, Washington, New Haven and North Haven Board of Educations and later returning and retiring from the East Haven Board of Education. She was a member of the Musical Arts Society, Branford and the Parkinson’s Association of CT. Mother of Stephen (Robyn) Sandagata of North Haven formerly of Wallingford and Glenn Sandagata of Wallingford. Grandmother of Nicholas Allan Sandagata. Step-Grandmother of Jonathan C. Lilien, Robert M. Lilien and Brandon M. Lilien-Nass. Sister-in-law of Blakeslee and Marguerite “Peg” Ferrucci both of North Branford. Predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Michael Ferrucci.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.
