Richard O. Ralston, 67, a resident of Northford for the past forty years, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Patricia Andre Ralston for forty-five years. Born in New Haven on July 7, 1945; son of the late Robert T. and Ethel Walker Ralston; obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from UCONN; had worked for SNET/SBC for many years until retiring as a Marketing Manager in 1999. Richard played hockey in high school and college; coached youth hockey for fifteen years; was president of the Northford Pond Condo Association; was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America; the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity; the Wallingford Elks Lodge; loved traveling to Aruba and boating at Lake Winnapasocki. Father of Kimberly(Anthony) Martone, Jr. of North ford, Richard W. (Barbara) Ralston and William T. (Dena) Ralston all of Wallingford. Grandfather of Alec & Leah Martone, Thomas & Samantha Ralston. Step-Grandfather of Kristie Celotto & Kelsey Finkle. Step Great-Grandfather of Kaleigh Boynton. Brother of Robert T. (Kyle) Ralston of Fairfield and the late William “Ace†Anderson. The Ralston family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Harold Tara and his staff for their wonderful care and support.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church at 10:00 am. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
Our deepest sympathy to our brother-in-law Rick and his family. You have been blessed to have such a wonderful man as your Dad and now we all have another angel in heaven watching over us.

Our Northford Pond community has lost a wonderful neighbor and a true gentleman. He not only served as President of the association, he went above and beyond in providing leadership for all of us. My condolences to his beloved wife Pat and his entire family. He will be sadly missed.
Mr. Ralston~The biggest tribute to the person you are, are the amazing people that surrounded you. Your gracious heart and wonderful sense of humor made everyone comfortable in your presence.
