Edwina Sullivan Casher, 84, of Larson Place, Hamden, formerly of Hartford Turnpike, North Haven passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Michael L. Casher, Sr. Edwina was born in Danbury on September 5, 1929; daughter of the late Edward P. and Marie Murphy Sullivan; had worked for the SNET Company for 25 years until her retirement and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mother of Michael L. Casher, Jr. and the late Thomas J. Casher. Sister of Jacqueline Ruggiero and her husband Joseph, and the late Joan and James Sullivan.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Francis Church, New Haven at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
