Carolyn J. Cappetta Mulqueen, 76, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to William D. Mulqueen. Carolyn was born in New Haven on February 15, 1940; daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carolina DeFelice Cappetta. She worked for 40 years for the A & P Food Stores retiring as a Deli-Manager post retirement she worked as an aide for Green Acres Elementary School. Mother of Cheryl Vincent, Susan Mulqueen and Eileen Ludington (Mark). Grandmother of Stacey & Steven Vincent, Ty, Cole & Nate Ludington. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Anthony Cappetta, Jennie Bellelo, Ida Sessa and Joseph Cappetta.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice Inc., 100 Double Beach Road Branford, CT 06405.

The Mulqueen family has a huge hole with the passing of Aunt Carol. We will surely be missing her unique sense of humor at future family gatherings. Be at peace Aunt Carol. Love always.

Aunt Carol was a wonderful woman. She was always quick to laugh and smile, and loved her family dearly. I remember the days when family meant everyone together everywhere, and Carol and my grandmother were inseparable. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and aunt. She's in my prayers.
