Marion A. Daddio Janel, 84, of North Haven, passed away Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 at the DSI Dialysis Center in North Haven. She was the wife of 60 years to the late Francis J. Janel. Born in Derby on May 20, 1928; daughter of the late Joseph S. and Wilhelmina DeTullio Daddio. Marion had volunteered for the American Red Cross – Valley Chapter and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League of Naugatuck Valley. She loved to travel and had visited Canada, Mexico, Las Vegas and several states. Mother of Elaine Novinsky and her husband Thomas of North Haven. Grandmother of Kevin and Lisa Novinsky both of North Haven. Sister-in-law of Laura Daddio of Derby. Also survived by her goddaughter Laureen Daddio Marcucio and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Joseph N. Daddio, Sr. Our family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the physicians and staff at the DSI Dialysis Clinic of North Haven and the Connecticut Kidney Center for their compassionate and loving care. Also, special thanks to the staff, especially the Star Unit, at the Village Green of Wallingford for their kindness and care.
Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to St. Mary’s Church, 212 Elizabeth St., Derby, to attend a mass of Christian burial on Monday at 9 am and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
