Margaret Mary Nuzzo Ott, 74, of Hamden Hills Drive, Hamden formerly of St. John Street, North Haven, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of fifty-six years to Hans A. Ott. Margaret was born in New Haven on July 11, 1938; daughter of the late Alexander and Josephine Rizzo Nuzzo; was an avid golfer and bowler; was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will truly be missed. Mother of Michael J. Ott of Killingworth, Matthew T. Ott of Glendale, AZ, Christopher J. (Emilia) Ott of Rocky Hill and Sharon E. (Eric) Johnson of Northford. Grandmother of Christopher, Brian, Kelsey and Justin Ott, Zachary, Kyle and Justine Johnson.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning May 22nd at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church, North Haven at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 21st from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Ctr., #3, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

We will cherish the many memories we have of things we did together such as golf, movies, Mexican food, get togethers in Florida and a friendship that goes way back to Darlene. Margaret was a loving and kind lady and will miss her so. We enjoyed getting together, last get together was at Deans Mexican and back to their home for desert, we had many laughs and have fond memories. She will never be forgotten. Hans you are in our prayers.

Margaret was a wonderful person and a dear friend. We will miss her more than words can ever express. We enjoyed playing “hand and foot”, having dinner together, golfing and visiting. We enjoyed many years of Red Hats together. Don loved her biscotti and other baked goods. Margaret was a sincere and kind person and our life will not be the same without her. We know she is at peace now and in God’s loving arms.

Hans although I have only known you and Margaret for about two years you are a good Neighbor and a good friend. My condolences go out to you and your family. Margaret has been in my prayers the past week along with my wife, she and my wife would have liked each other as both had a big heart.
