Raella Manciero Kimerle, 67, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Christian Kimerle. Raella was born in New Haven on June 10, 1946; daughter of the late Alphonse and Rose Carrano Manciero; was a 1965 graduate of Hillhouse High School; had worked for Stop & Shop as a cashier for many years; was an avid bowler having bowled on many different leagues in Wallingford and East Haven; but her enjoyment were her grandchildren. Mother of Frank (Rachel) Piscitelli, Jr., Alphonse (Anne) Piscitelli, Sr. Joseph (Shawn) Piscitelli and Theresa Kimerle. Sister of MaryAnn (Edward) Rustic, Philip (Jayne) Manciero, Andrew (Gene) Manciero and Rose (David) Tryanow. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 10:30 with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm.
AL AND ANNE, SORRY FOR THE LOST OF YOUR MOTHER AND MOTHER IN LAW WENT TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR MOTHER AND SHE WAS A VERY NICE PERSON, NOT MANY LIKE HER AROUND SHE LOVED HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN VERY MUCH ALWAYS TRYING TO HELP IN ANY WAY AND NEVER COMPLAINED, I REMEMBER SO MANY TIMES WHEN SHOPPING IN STOP AND SHOP AND THE MERE MENTION OF THE GRANDCHILDREN WOULD LIGHT UP HER FACE. AL YOU WERE VERY GOOD TO YOUR MOTHER SHE ALWAYS SAID AND ENJOYED WHEN YOU ALL WENT TO FLORIDA, IT TAKES TIME SO MAKE THE BEST YOU HAVE SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES.
There are no words to convey how I feel, I just know I miss her and will continue to miss her. I love you, Rae.

I met Raella thru a friend about 10 years ago, she was a tough old broad, and that's the thing i love about her the best. She didn't take crap from anyone..I will miss her dearly…I will light a candle for her often…

I have only known Raella for a couple years but in that couple years I got to witness a great woman. A woman whom loved her family dearly and was always there for her grandchildren . My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends as god received a new angel. RIP Raella
I have only known Raella for a couple of years. We became bowling teammates. I enjoyed seeing her every week. I know she loved her grandchildren deeply. She spoke of them often. I will miss her and her spunky personality very, very much. Bowling won't be the same. My sympathy to her loved ones.
Hello Frankie Al & Joe I felt terrible when I heard your Mom passed. I am in Florida visiting my sister so could not attend services. Your Mom was a generous woman who loved you all so much. I am sure she is in that big bowling alley in heaven having a great time…..God Bless…..The Torello's
