William R. Taragowski, Sr., 51, of Mill Pond Road, Hamden, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at the CT Hospice, Branford. William was born in New Haven on January 14, 1962; son of George P. Taragowski of Hamden and the late Ann Carmody Taragowski. Father of William R. Taragowski, Jr. and Eric T. Taragowski both of Hamden. Brother of Judith (Antonio) Costantino, Sr. of West Haven, Barbara (Hernando) Chaves of Milford and the late Donald G. Taragowski. Also survived by five nephews and a niece.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Therese Church, North Haven at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the William Taragowski, Sr. Children’s Memorial Education Fund, C/O Webster Bank, 5 Helen Street, Hamden, Connecticut 06514.
