Edward R. Parisella, 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford with his family by his side. He was the husband of sixty-one years to Marylou Stairs Parisella. Ed was born in Schenectady, New York on September 27, 1929; son of the late Mac and Helen Ivenolla Parisella; served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; had worked for L.G. DeFelice, Silliman Company and later for Tilcon-Tomasso for eighteen years until retiring as a sales engineer. Ed had served on the North Haven Board of Planning & Zoning; was a North Haven Police Commissioner; member of the North Haven Democratic Town Committee and served on the North Haven Sewer Commission. Father of Lynn Parisella and her husband Robert vanDijk, Jan Parisella Voland, Michael Parisella, John E. Parisella and his wife Kami. Grandfather of Christopher, Zachary, Hannah and Braeden Parisella.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 11:00 with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be on Monday from 4 to 8 pm.
