Adelina Antenucci Bonaffini, 100, of Wallingford, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 1, 2016 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John Bonaffini. Adelina was born in Buffalo, New York on June 1, 1916; daughter of the late Luigi and Maria Iannelli Antenucci. Mother of Enzo (Grazia) Bonaffini and Luigi Bonaffini. Grandmother of Novella (Marco Cassano) Bonaffini. Great-Grandmother of Ettore and Cesare Cassano. Aunt of Mara (Bruce) Newell, Johanne (Hank) Maguire, Irma Jean, Loretta and Diane. Great-Aunt of Christopher Newell, Matthew (Christina) Maguire, Emily and Maggie Maguire. Predeceased by her loving sister Ida Antenucci.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Interment will follow on All Saints Cemetery.
I hope that as much as we will all miss the Zialina we knew and loved, that you will be celebrating her remarkable longevity. I am sure that her soft, warm, loving and generous nature will be missed by all who knew her.
