Maura J. Giaimo, 91, a resident of North Haven for many years passed Nov. 11, 2014. Born May 23, 1923 in North Haven, daughter of the late Paul and Pauline Giacone Giaimo. Predeceased by her siblings Mary and Nicholas Giaimo and several cousins including U.S. Representative Robert N. Giaimo (D-Conn), longtime congressman for the 3rd District of CT.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Monday at 10:00 in St. Barnabas Church. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I have known Maura and her family since childhood and she could always make me laugh. She loved her family and made friends easily. She will be missed. A friend forever in my heart.
