Boris J. Bolash, 92, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Genevieve Suprekewictz Bolash.  Boris was born in New Haven on September 4, 1922, the son of the late Peter and Helen Bak Bolash. He served his country faithfully in the US Army during WW II as a French interpreter and had worked as a high school teacher for the New Haven Board of Education.  Boris played the mandolin, was a writer of poetry, taught French and Russian and enjoyed spending time with his family.  Father of Barbara J. Walsh, Mary Ellen (Roger) Simon and Peter (Sharon) Bolash.  Grandfather of Robert Simon, Nadine Phillips, Gina Civardi, Lindsay Bolash, Christopher, Collin and Kelly Walsh. A special thanks to grandson Kelly for being his caregiver and the person Boris spent his final years with.  Great-Grandfather of Alex, Holly and Chloe.  Brother of Genka Tulevech.  Uncle of Sonya and Carl Tulevech.  Predeceased by his son-in-law George Walsh.

Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday evening at 7:00.  Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm until time of service.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice
