Lillian Florence Losaw Misuraca, 92, of Meriden passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Westfield Care and Rehab Center, Meriden with her family by her side.  Lillian was born in New Haven on April 20, 1924; daughter of the late William and Mary Hering Losaw; received an Associate degree from Middlesex Community College; served her country faithfully in the U.S. Navy Waves for two years during WW II and had worked as a writer for the Record-Journal of Meriden for many years until her retirement.  Lillian was a founding member of the Women Veterans Memorial in Arlington, Virginia; member of the Meriden Arts & Crafts Association and the Upper Valley Arts Alliance. Mother of Robert (Kelly) Misuraca, Betty (John) Juniet, Chris (Alyce) Misuraca and the late James Misuraca.  Grandmother of James Misuraca and his fiancé Brittany Wilkins, Cody (Jenna) Misuraca, Jonathan Misuraca, Victoria Juniet, Celia, Aaron and Evan Misuraca, and Ian Dorey.

Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Friday morning, November 4th at 11:00.  Interment with full military honors will be privately held immediately following the service in the Montowese Cemetery, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White River Junction VA Medical Center, 215 North Main Street, White River Junction, Vermont  05009 or the Meriden Arts & Crafts Association, 53 Colony Street, Meriden, CT  06451.
