Sandra L. Marone Ludovico, 64, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Kenneth M. Ludovico, Sr. Sandra was born in New Haven on September 4, 1950; daughter of the late Peter and Angelina Maturo Marone; was a graduate of the former St. Raphael School of Nursing and had worked as a Registered Nurse for the Arden House, Hamden for over 32 years until her retirement. Sandra enjoyed traveling but her true enjoyment was spending much quality time with her family especially her grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Kenneth M. (Katie) Ludovico, Jr. and Mark R. (Elizabeth) Ludovico. Sister of Karen Serafino and Peter (Kathleen) Marone, Jr. Grandmother of Julia Marie Ludovico, Michael Kenneth Ludovico, Mark Richard Ludovico, Jr. and Emily Grace Ludovico. Aunt of Denise (Richard) Suraci, Stephen Ferrara, Andrew and Lindsay Marone. Also survived by her dear friend Barbara Knapp and her beloved dog Ginger.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in The Most Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 7 PM. My prayers and thoughts are with Mrs. Ludovico and all those who knew and loved her. Her spirit lives on through her kind and generous children and grandchildren.
My deepest condolences to such a devoted and loving family. 20+ years of friendship -she remained so strong and positive and always with a smile. She will be forever remembered and forever missed.
