Mary A. Migliaro Grieco, 96, of Hamden passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA. She was the wife of the late Fred Grieco. Mary was born in New Haven on April 5, 1917; daughter of the late Andrew and Madalena Annuniziata Migliaro. Step-daughter of the late Rosina Migliaro. Mary lived her life in the New Haven area; was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden; assisted her husband on the farm until his passing in 1953 and was a light machine operator until her retirement at age 80. Mother of Camille G. Thorne (Jerome) and Helen Myers (Errol); grandmother of Jennifer Wasinger ( William), Heather Lytle (Kevin), Phillip, Mary and Clara Thorne; great grandmother of Liam Wasinger and Amelia Lytle; sister of Anthony Migliaro, Grace Mitchell, Jennie Magel, Catherine Colaninno and the late Christie, Andrew and Antoinette Migliaro, Madeline Christoforo and Rose Cassella. Also survived by many nieces and nepehws.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
