Janet Leiss Bartelmo, 85, of Meriden, formerly of Cheshire passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was the wife of the late Gerald J. Bartelmo. Janet was born in Meriden on July 19, 1930; daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie Pawson Leiss. Predeceased by a brother Charles Leiss. Janet was the laboratory supervisor for the Masonic Home and Hospital until her retirement. Janet took great pride in her home and cared deeply for her family, she loved to entertain family and friends alike. Everyone that met Janet knew of her penchant for telling stories and sharing laughter. Mother of James (Laurie Slade) Bartelmo and Janet (David) Dahlberg. Grandmother of Kate, Anne and Sara Bartelmo, Alex Soriano, Ryan and Ross Dahlberg, who fondly will remember her as Muz-Muz & Mum-Mums. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the nurses and staff of the Meriden Center for all the comfort and care they provided to Janet.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Funeral Service on Saturday morning, October 24th at 11:30 in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, 166 Wallingford Road, Cheshire.
