Doug made his mark on our neighborhood and in our lives. He exuded kindness, generosity and friendliness. We know that he gave himself fully to his family and his community. We will miss him.
At this time of sorrow, we hold all of you tight in our hearts and wish you strength.
Suzy, Alex and Laura we love you all and feel your pain with you. Doug will be missed terribly, the kindest most selfless man we have ever met. He was involved and helped out in every way he possibly could, this is a terrible loss for the whole community.
Doug will forever be in my heart, will always be missed but will live lovingly in our memories. Suzy, hold on to your beautiful children and lean on your family for love and strength. May your memories of Doug help to lessen this most painful time and bring you comfort. My love always, Barb
Oh Marian, how my heart breaks for you and your family. This is such a shock and a devastating loss. God be with you.
My Dearest Suzy and Family,
My deepest condolences to you all through this difficult time. I never got to meet your Doug but always heard wonderful things. Suzy, please know that I am here for you if you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out. Use the support you have around you. All my love to you.
Words can't express how deeply sorry we are. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Suzy and Family:
So sorry to hear about Doug. Too young. Condolences from our family.
Dear Suzy – We just wanted to let you know that we all have not stopped thinking about you, Alex, Laura and of course Doug – since we heard the devastating news on Saturday morning. As word spread around the gym at the Middle School there were shocked faces, tears and the overall sadness spread like a wave. Adam and I told Connor right after his game and he was so upset, he didn’t stop crying for an hour. Doug was such a special man, coach and friend. Adam is feeling not only the loss of a friend but feeling for you and the kids as he also lost his father suddenly to a car accident as a teenager and knows how hard it can be.
With all of the crazy nonsense that goes on with these sports teams and the administrations, Doug was always a bright spot. His shy smile and mild manner way of saying “Good Morning Sirots” is something that I will never forget. His patience and genuine caring for Connor was always appreciated. Please know that we are thinking of you – I can’t even imagine what you are going through.
Such an amazing man and sweet soul – but of course you know that – that’s why you married him and chose him as the father of your children.
Prayers, thoughts and Love to you all!
– Adam, Debbie, James and Connor Sirot
