Robert Izzo, 74, of Old Saybrook passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23rd 2015 at the Apple Rehab, Old Saybrook. Robert was born in New Haven on August 21, 1940; son of the late Alphonse and Anna Massa Izzo. He graduated with honors from Notre Dame High School, West Haven where he also played football. He later attended Berkley School of Music in Boston. He worked as a program analyst for the city of New Haven for many years and loved karate and jazz. Brother of Paul and Stephen Izzo, and the late Alan Izzo. Brother-in-law of Marcia and Bebe Izzo. Uncle of Joseph, Jaclyn and Stephen Izzo, and Maryanne (Rick) Kotjanski. Great Uncle of Kaylee Sullivan. Nephew of Katherine Aurora, Joseph Massa and the late Anthony Massa, Louise Pazik, Mary Buonome and Margaret Iannitti.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to the office of St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Avenue, West Haven on Thursday morning, Apr. 2nd, at 11:00 and follow in procession to the graveside for a service. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Valley Hospital, P.O. Box 351 Middletown, CT 06457. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
