Carl V. Pacapelli, Sr., 98, of Granby, formerly of Westbrook and West Haven, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Meadowbrook of Granby Healthcare Center. He was the husband of Ruby C. Welton Pacapelli for over 50 years. Born in New Haven on August 8, 1915; son of the late Romolo and Zenobia Barnabei Pacapelli. He was a partner in F.H. Gilbert Plumbing Co. in West Haven for 25 years, before joining SNET, Co., retiring as a foreman. He was a past Commodore and charter member of the West Haven Yacht Club, past member of Pattaconk Yacht Club in Deep River and was also a life member of the Marchegian Club. Father of Carl (Susan) Pacapelli of Flagerbeach, FL, Eugene (Lynda) Pacapelli of West Haven, Judith Bellizzi of Branford, Gail (Butch) DiReinzo of West Haven, Glenn ( Kathy) Pacapelli of Chesterfield, VA, Gladys (Glen) Rogers of Jamestown, TN, Dorothy (Don) Gould of Prospect and Ruby (Earl) Ransom of East Granby. Brother of Jean Scialabba of Hamden and Raymond (Jacqueline) Pace of Stamford and the late Helen Massari and Laura Altieri. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Carl Bellizzi.
Funeral Services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to V.A. Charters, P.O. Box 504, West Haven, CT 06516.

So sorry to hear the passing of Uncle Carl. Also, so sorry that I did not know him very well. He was also so nice to me. We both shared the honor of holding plumbing licenses in Conn.
