Adeline “Toni” Foti-Jalbert, 89, of Hamden, loving Mother and Nana, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, July 3, 2021. She was predeceased by her husbands, Salvatore J. Foti and Philip W. Jalbert, Sr. Toni was born March 22, 1932, in New Haven and was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Adelaide Irlanda Falato. She moved to Hamden with her husband in 1964 to raise their family. She had worked as a nurse at the former St. Anthony’s Orphanage in New Haven for many years, then as a manager’s assistant at Elm City Credit Bureau and later was a Supervisor of Policy Writing at Kemper Insurance until her retirement. She was a former member of the Hamden Promenaders and the Hamden and North Haven Women’s Club. Toni was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. She was devoted to her family and loved hosting Christmas Eve, where everyone gathered to enjoy Nana’s Italian feast. Her life’s passion was her family. She is survived by her children and stepchildren, Maria Foti Kaplan, Patricia (Matthew) Altieri, Peter (Cheryl) Foti, Sally Foti, Philip (Cindy) Jalbert, Jr., and Lori (William) Montalto. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren whom she adored. She also leaves behind a brother-in-law, the Honorable Paul Foti, and his wife, Dee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eight siblings.

The visiting hours will be Wednesday, July 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, on Thursday morning, July 8, at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
