Albert R. Celotto, 90, of Northford passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at MidState Medical Center, Meriden with his family by his side. He was the husband of 65 years to Arlene I. DeMayo Celotto. Albert was born in New Haven on September 28, 1931 and was the son of the late Umberto and Concetta Scalese Celotto. He had worked as a Construction Superintendent for Blakeslee, Arpaia & Chapman for many years until his retirement. Albert was a longtime parishioner of St. Monica’s Church and enjoyed being with his family who he loved unconditionally. Father of David Celotto (Michele Gravino) and Paul Celotto (Kim). Grandfather of Skyler and Cisco Celotto. Brother of Annie Ruocco and the late Charles, Salvatore, Harry, Ralph and Frank Celotto, Lena Drago, Vivian Sinese, Angie Nunzianto and Rosie Bolzar. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The visiting hours will be Monday morning, Sept. 12th from 9:00 to 11:00 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Ambrose Parish at St. Monica Church, 1331 Middletown Avenue, Northford at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
