Sorry for your loss Jimmy. Diane and I recall many memories at your house parties where your parents were always present and enjoying everyone. We recall how much they loved their board games and having fun with the whole family at those gatherings. Good memories!
Our best to you and the family. Tony and Diane
Austie was a wonderful man. He will be missed by many.
Joanne, So very sorry to hear of your father’s passing. I know you took exceptional care of him and he will always be in your heart. He is now at peace with your Mom. Our sincerest sympathy! Love to you and your family…….Carolyn and Mike
Austin and I were good colleagues and friends.
We teamed up together to have Wepawaug Flagg Credit Union available to the Hopkins Faculty and Staff.
One summer we worked together at Gordon Clark’s Rink doing a little carpentry work.. Austie did not care for the occasional black snake that we awakened!
From time to time we would enjoy a beer, he introduced me to mini-bottles which he called “Ponys”. I often wondered why the brewers bottled such tiny amounts.
I enjoyed him and the strangely accented French he spoke, I think we heard it once or twice when he was presenting prizes at Hopkins.
I know how much he will be missed and offer my deepest condolences to his family.

I always enjoyed working with Austie at Hopkins, especially seeing he and Karl Crawford work the room. He gave me useful advice as young faculty member regarding benefits and other useful tidbits of life at a private school. All with a twinkle in his eye. The service to Hopkins and the legacy he leaves behind, still stands today,
My thought are with all of you.
Take care,
Don B.
My condolences to the Albert family. Austie was one of the good ones, one of the very best, in fact, back in the day . . .
