Allan J. Kaliszewski, 65, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford with his family by his side. Allan was born in New Haven on April 30, 1952 and was the son of the late Alexander and Viola DeMartino Kaliszewski. He served his country faithfully in the US Air Force. Allan was the former owner/operator of the Montowese Package Store. He was an avid golfer, a Boston Red Sox, Miami Dolphins and NASCAR fan; enjoyed horse racing especially going to Saratoga and listening to Eric Clapton music. Brother of Denise Kaliszewski. Also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:30 am. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.

Denise, I was very sorry to hear about Al. He was always so sweet to me whenever I would run into him. I did not hear about this till my husband saw his face and recognized him. Sorry I missed the mass. He must be at total peace now.
