Allan Corso, 69, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 18th, 2022 surrounded by family at Hospice in New Haven after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in New Haven on August 11th, 1952 and was the beloved son of Ann Pascarelli Corso and the late Philip Corso Jr.. Allan served in the military as a Tank Mechanic and Artillery Maintenance Repair Foreman for the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood Texas from 1972 to 1974. He worked for Curved Glass as a Supervisor and Whalley Glass as a Manager for over 30 years until his retirement. Allan was an avid golfer and bowler, loved going to the casino, playing softball and loved his Harley’s and his cars. Brother to the late Phil and Roger Corso, and survived by brothers Dave (Kathy) Corso, Donny, Jeff and Rodney. Allan is also survived by his many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours will be held on Monday morning, May 23, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1120 G St NW, Washington DC. or Smilow Cancer Hospital, 35 Park St. New Haven, CT.
Our VCH, Veterans Coffee House meets monthly at the Wlfd Senior Center which not only gives our Vets the chance to socialize but also take part in enjoying a guest speaker which are related to military topics, slide presentations and Q&A.
At this very difficult time, our group would like to honor the loss of Allen Corso as a fallen brother. Our military Veterans send out their heartfelt condolences to the Corso family and friends. As an Army Veteran, he had joined an elite group of honorable men and our Country will forever be in his debt.
