Allen R. Biron, 80, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Madalyn Cicarella Biron. Allen was born in Waterbury on November 5, 1942, and was the son of the late Maurice and Jennie Bocchicio Biron. He served his country faithfully in the US Air Force. Allen had worked as a Computer Programmer for the SNET Company until his retirement. Biron was a licensed pilot, enjoyed playing bingo and word searches, but most of all he enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife. Brother of Linda Biron Stolfi. Uncle of Steven Stolfi and Andria Stolfi Hotchkiss. Cousin of Sandra Daddona (Anthony), Jason Daddona (Ashley) and Amanda Daddona. Also survived by a dear friend William Larsh and Micheline Bedard.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Paul VI Parish/Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden on Monday morning, May 22nd at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service with full military honors immediately following in the St. Lawrence Mausoleum, West Haven.
Our VCH, Veterans Coffee House meets monthly at the Wallingford Senior Center which not only gives our Vets the chance to socialize but also take part in enjoying a guest speaker which are related to military topics. We were founded in 2017 by Mark Halliday and Robert Boucher. Our Veterans are an exceptional group and our intention is to bring together to socialize, offer assistance and support. At this very difficult time, our group would like to honor the loss of Allen Biron as a fallen brother. Our military Veterans send out their heartfelt condolences to the Biron family and friends. As an Air Force Veteran, he had joined an elite group of honorable men and women and our Country will forever be in his debt.
