He was the “BEST” Pa a man can ever ask for!! He was more than a grandfather to me he was more like a father to me. He taught me so many things growing up,I always wanted to be just like him! He is a Proud Marine and I always loved listening to his story’s about the war! He was a decorated Marine and marksman.. We frequently visited the range and I was never allowed to shoot when I was younger not because of my age. More importantly I did not know about firearm safety and one day I thought I knew it all we were at the range. I had the rifle towards downrange little did I know about hair triggers.. as I am sitting there talking to him my finger is on the trigger, he asked me is the rifle on safety well, of course me being hardheaded as I was young I told him yes, but the safety was not on and that is when I blew my shoulder out I gave them back the rifle and I apologized, and then I asked him to please teach me because safety was always number one. I was kind of argumentative, and I had to learn the hard way there was nobody’s life in danger, but I did learn the hard way, and after that, he taught me from point a all the way down from point A to point Z !! I’ll tell you one thing I learn how to field strip every single rifle I mean in record time because that’s all I did was watch him and listen to his stories and of course, as soon as I got home, I had to be the one to field, strip them and clean up the rifles, then put them away. Him and my grandmother they were inseparable. He loved her and did everything for her as she did the same for him, and when she passed away, it just wasn’t the same and neither was he!!He busted his ass, his whole life to support his family. He was the most kind, generous smart, funny as hell don’t take shit from no one, strong, hard-working man!! I will always listen. I will always continue telling the stories that he used to tell he will forever be missed. I love you Pa with all of my heart, thank you for all of your knowledge and wisdom all of your support, my whole life thank you for never judging me he used to tell me to always be yourself never be something you’re not always stand your ground and if you were right, and you know you were right, and never back down. And for everybody who used to judge me all you have skeletons in your closet and trust me a lot of people know it my grandfather used to tell me to all those judgmental yuppies to tell them 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼
