Angela Gravante Mazzoli, 88, of Northford, Connecticut, passed away on January 10, 2023, in East Haven.  Angela was born in New Haven on March 8, 1934, daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Nuzzo Gravante.  She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Daniel Mazzoli.  Mrs. Mazzoli was the mother of Barbara Jean (George) Lennon, Richard D. (Bernadette) Mazzoli and Daniel Mazzoli, Jr., and the grandmother of Bridgette (Steve) Jreige, Steven (Caitlin) Lennon, Dominic (Hannah) Mazzoli, Joseph (Audrey) Mazzoli, Monica Mazzoli and Angelia Mazzoli.  She was the great grandmother of Giacomo, Charlie, Kalil, Rose, Gavin, Nora, Calum, John, Violet, and Avery.  She was the sister of Carol (George) Mattie, and predeceased by her sister, Roseanne (Richard) Imperati.  She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  The family wishes to offer a special thanks to Gina Samokar, Mrs Mazzoli’s niece, for all her love and support these last months. Angela attended primary school at Saint Anthony’s Catholic School (New Haven) and joyfully spent time helping the nuns in the convent across the street from school.  After graduating from Saint Anthony’s in 1947, she completed her secondary education at Sacred Heart Academy (Hamden) in 1951.  She maintained a lifelong connection to her beloved alma mater.  Mrs. Mazzoli sold Avon products for many years. She was also employed in real estate, home decorating, and retired from Waldbaum’s in 1996.  Family and friends will remember her playing the piano and encouraging singalongs at family gatherings.  Her love of music also included dancing the night away at many Saturday night dinner dances.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Saturday morning, Jan. 21st at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial.  Interment will be private immediately following the service.
