Angelina “Julie” (Colomonico) Elkin, of New Haven, devoted wife of nearly 75 years to Alexander Elkin, passed away November 13, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.  Born in Hamden on December 11, 1926, to the late Vincenzo and Maria Viggiano Colomonico. Predeceased by her brothers Michael, Nicholas, and Joseph and sisters Pasqualina “Pat” Baltaxa, Rose Kay and Cecelia “Sally” Elliott. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.  Julie lived a full life. She loved hosting family events, wintering in Florida, and was an avid world-traveler. She will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank her nurses at Hospice for the wonderful care they provided during her short illness.  The visiting hours will be Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 at the Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven. Family and friends are invited to attend the committal services immediately following in Beaverdale Memorial Park Cemetery, New Haven.
