Angelo Fiondella, 80, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Margherita Lucatino Fiondella. Angelo was born Gioia Sannitica, Province of Caserta, Italy on July 13, 1937 and was the son of the late Gennaro and Anninna Viscuso Fiondella. He had worked for the former C.W. Blakeslee Construction Company and later for the Bic Pen Corporation. Angelo enjoyed farming, hunting and making wine. Father of Anna Perrone (Mario), Marie Sintay (David) and Gennaro Fiondella (Lina). Poppy of Michael Perrone (Ashley), Marissa Perrone-Cote (Stephen), Tyler and Deanna Sintay, Angelo, Ariana and Andrew Fiondella. Great Poppy to Mia Ann Perrone. Brother of Antoinetta Grandetti (Giovanni), Lina Melillo (Domenico), Pietro Fiondella and the late Guerino and Filippo Fiondella. Also survived by many nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:45. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church, New Haven at 10:30. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm.
