Ann Menta Palmucci Laczhok, 94, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Andrew “Eddie” Laczhok. Ann was born in New Haven on September 12, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Caso Menta. She had worked as a salesperson for the former Bond Clothing Stores in New Haven and Hamden. Ann later worked for Temple Luggage in New Haven and in Orange until her retirement. She was District Ward Chairperson for the City of New Haven for many years. Ann enjoyed playing bingo and cards, taking frequent trips to the casino, going to the boardwalk in West Haven to listen to the music during the summer months and loved taking trips to Florida. Mother of Albert (Betty) Palmucci and Joseph (Sheila Milano) Palmucci. Grandmother of Michele (Geoff) Barry, Tracy (Bob) DeFelice, Joseph (Jill) Palmucci, Jr. and Tommy (Miranda McBride) Palmucci. Also survived by four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Albert Palmucci, a sister Josephine Apuzzo, brothers George, Frank, John and Ralph Menta.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church of St. John XXIII, 207 Main Street, West Haven on Friday morning, April 16th at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
The Havens gained an angel. So sorry for your loss of Ann.I have spent a lot of time over the years talking with her before the 8am Sunday mass.my thoughts and prayers are with her and the family. GOD BLESS.
