Anna Guido Snurkowski, 85, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford with her family by her side.   She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent J. Snurkowski Sr. Anna was born in New Haven on September 5, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Soreca Guido.  She had worked as a secretary for Stop & Shop for 20 years until her retirement. Anna was a member of the North Haven Senior Center and a devoted parishioner of St. Therese Church. Mother of Vincent J. (Deborah) Snurkowski, Jr., Joseph Snurkowski, the late Robin D. Snurkowski and Lauren Taylor.  Grandmother of Wendi Taylor, Richard and Robert Snurkowski and the late Suzanne Dozier. Also survived by one great-granddaughter and three great-grandsons.  Sister-in-law of Madeline Guido. Predeceased by her brother Anthony Guido.  The family would like to extend a “Special Thank You” to Dr. John Colberg, Dr. Matthew Ellman, Dr. Daniel Petrylak and the entire staff of the Hospice Unit at the Masonicare Health Center and also the SICU at Yale-New Haven Hospital for the excellent care and comfort they provided to Anna.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 9:30.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10:00.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  The visiting hours Friday from 5 to 7pm.
