Anna M. Constantino Venuti, 95, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side.  She was born in New Haven on July 29, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Catherine Canali Constantino.  Anna worked as a waitress all her life in New Haven at various restaurants including The Park Plaza Hotel.  She dedicated her time as an advocate for the Republican Party.  Anna worked in local elections as a challenger, moderator and ballot clerk for about 70 years.  She enjoyed cooking and baking her famous pies.  Her greatest joy in life was being with her family whom she loved unconditionally.  Mother of Linda (Stephen) Elia.  Grandmother of Deanne (Angelo) Annunziato, Stephen (Jennifer) Elia and Michelle (Tony) Caserta.  Great grandmother of Maia, Sydney, Alex, Anthony, Emily and Ryan.  She is predeceased by her brothers Primo Stipa, Freddy (Hop) Constantino, and sisters Louise Dunn and Antionette Cosenza.

 

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Friday morning at 11:00.  Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at Saint Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, at 11:30.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
