Anna Mazeika Viscio, 95, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Midstate Medical Center with her daughter by her side. Anna was born in New Haven on June 28,1928, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary Mazeika. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 75 years, Nicholas Viscio and her son Louis Viscio. Anna’s parents passed away when she was very young, and despite lacking a mother of her own, she was able to become an extraordinary mother to her two children. She took care of her son Louis who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy for many years. She attended New Haven Public Schools, had worked for National Folding Box Company, which later became Federal Paper Board Company, and later worked in the North Haven Public Schools Food Services. Anna leaves behind her daughter and best friend, MaryAnn Viscio and several nieces and nephews. She was a extraordinary cook and homemaker, always striving to keep a spotless, organized home. She loved music and was very knowledgeable about the 1940s Big Band Music, along with some other contemporary favorites. Anna was always a sweet, kind-hearted, generous soul who will be missed by anyone who was lucky enough to have been a part of her family and circle of friends. She is incredibly loved and will be missed deeply.

 The visiting hours will be on Monday morning, May 13, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12 noon in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
