Anne T. Beschel MacSorley, 90, of North Haven, formerly of Milford and Orange, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18th, 2023 with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of 65 years to Earl E. MacSorley.  Anne was born in New Haven on April 24th, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Cummings Beschel.  She worked in the Receiving Department at the former Alexander’s Department Store.  Anne enjoyed sewing, knitting, needle point and had a sewing circle with her friends. A meticulous housekeeper, she would decorate her home with antiques she enjoyed collecting.  Anne enjoyed tracing her family genealogy and was a former parishioner of Holy Infant Church, Orange, where she was a member of their Ladies Guild. Mother of Lynne Jackson (Robert), Eileen Pettola (Vincent) and Lisa MacSorley.  Grandmother of Brittany and Kara Horton, Paul and Lela Jackson, Kevin and Patrick Morrison.  Great Grandmother of Luke, Charlotte and Addison. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses at The Landing of North Haven and the Connecticut Hospice Homecare for all the excellent comfort and care they provided.

The visiting hours will be Wednesday, September 20th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  A Catholic Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12:00 PM.  Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or the Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
