Anthony M. (Tony) Christoforo died Sunday October 11. Born (Oct. 4, 1941) and raised in North Haven on the family farm, he was the youngest child of Rose Valentino and Michael Christoforo. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years Mary Neborski and children Anthony Jr., Laura Scott, David (Stacy), and Daniel (Kate) and his cherished grandchildren Staci, Toni (mom Deb), David Jr., Emma, Grayce, Jaxon, and Jordyn. He was predeceased by 13 siblings and leaves one surviving brother and many, many nieces and nephews over several generations. Tony was a Class of ‘59 graduate of NHHS (Go Indians!) and a longtime resident of Northford. Nothing made him happier than family time! He enjoyed spending Sundays and holidays at home or by the pool with family and friends and all were always welcome! Over the years he was a faithful follower of UConn football, basketball and baseball, the Red Sox and the Pats. He could often be found catching up with the news around the area on his golf cart and enjoyed sharing with all along his way. His patience and his generosity were legendary.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

I just read of Tony’s passing today, 11/2, and wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to Mary, his wife and all the children. The Fourth of July picnics and times around the pool will remain special among my memories of the family.
Hello…
I just heard of his passing today.
Memories…….
As a 17 year old…I knew Anthony as “Mr. Christoforo” and only later on refered to him as “Mr. C”
First met Mr and Mrs Christoforo in October 1977, as Laura and I went to the North Branford High semi formal dance together.
When I first saw him ,I had decided that if I was lucky enough to leave with Laura that night she would be home by 7 instead of 9 !
This was a BIG guy !
He peeked out the living room window ,and asked “So where did you learn to park”
Just had my license a few months and I remember thinking my Dads Buick would not make it up that hill !
While home on leave from the Marine Corps I saw him at Northford Plaza.
He remembered me and joked about the Marines , and that I could still be a Red Sox fan !
These memories are from 43 years ago.. and wont ever be forgotten.
To Mrs Christoforo, Laura, Dave, Michael and the entire Christoforo family.. I stand with you in thoughts and prayers.
