Anthony Mendillo, Jr, 79, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of 16 years to Ilda Martins Mendillo. Anthony was born in New Haven on October 6, 1942 and was the son of the late Anthony and Louise Alfieri Mendillo, Sr. Anthony worked as a Security Guard at Yale University for 25 years. He loved going to the gym, his pool, dancing and taking care of his yard. Anthony especially liked the holidays and all the different types of food that went along with them. Father of Gina (Troy) Kelsey, Debra (Tony) Cassesse and Tony (Stacey) Mendillo. Stepfather of Renaota, Regiane and Rodrigo Rocha. Grandfather of Nicholas and Kaitlyn Kelsey and Anthony Mendillo. Step-grandfather of Laura Chaves. Brother of Dominic Mendillo, Maryann Narine and the late Frank Mendillo and Annette Bakelaar. He was predeceased by his beloved first wife of 36 years Agnes Mendillo.

The visiting hours will be Sunday, October 9, in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, from 4 to 6 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill, North Haven, Monday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Ct.
