Anthony “Papa” Furino, Jr., 58, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on his birthday, June 11th, 2021 with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on June 11th, 1963, he was the son of Theresa LaRosa Furino and the late Anthony “Chick” Furino. A 1982 North Haven High School graduate, he later attended Southern Connecticut State University. Anthony worked for North Haven Tile, was a manager at Vollero’s and at Check King, New Haven. An avid sports enthusiast, Anthony was a New York Giants fan and an excellent pool player. Brother of Ann Marie Milliard (Rodney) and Cindy Rowe. Uncle of Kyle and Stephen Rowe, Kayla Charpentier, Michael, and Eric Milliard. Great-Uncle of Jayden Martin and Arianna Rowe.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday morning, June 16th from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 260 Cochiturate Road, #200, Framingham, MA 01701 or the National Kidney Foundation, 3000 Whitney Avenue, #121, Hamden, CT 06518.
I am truly sorry to hear about Anthony’s passing. Antony was a very kind and generous person with a big heart. He will be truly missed and will always be remembered.
