Anthony Purchio, 95, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He worked at Saint Mary Church, New Haven; member of the Operating Engineers Local 478; survived by his wife, 4 children, 3 grandchildren and a sister; was a WW II US Army veteran. A “Special Thank You” to Partnership Adult Day Care Center and Valerie who treated Dad like he was family with love and dignity; to Fanta for the personal care she gave dad shown with patience, love, kindness and respect and without their help, keeping dad at home would not have been possible. Dad was truly blessed to have had them. Our family will always be thankful for their loving care and support.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Saint Rita’s Church, Hamden. Interment will be at a later date in the State Veterans Cemetery, FL. There will be no visiting hours. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
