Anthony R. Coppola, 92, of Branford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford.  Anthony was born in New Haven on March 29, 1925; son of the late Anthony and Catherine DeRienzo Coppola; served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WW II and had worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years until retiring as a clerk.  Uncle of Caroline (Jeffrey) O’Brien, William (Louise) Coppola, Catherine, Anthony and Stephen Coppola.  Also survived by the light of his life, his great niece Michelle Willard and her daughter his great-great niece Ava Marie who visited him frequently and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Predeceased by his siblings, Joseph, Nicholas, Armand & William Coppola, Caroline Civitello, Anna DeBiase and Adeline Santore.

 Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Michael’s Church, 29 Wooster Place, New Haven on Monday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following with full military honors in All Saints Cemetery.  There will be no visiting hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06450.  The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
