Anthony Sandy Papa, Sr., 94, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21st, 2021 with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 66 years to Dorothy F. Williams.  Anthony was born in North Haven on November 4, 1926 and was the son of the late Nicola and Fannie DeLucia Papa. He was a graduate of the University of New Haven earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.  An entrepreneur, Anthony was the Founder/CEO of FPI Systems and Owner/Operator of Aqualogic, Inc. of North Haven.  He was a devout parishioner of St. Therese Church and was very instrumental with its construction on Middletown Avenue, North Haven and contributed to his parish growth throughout his lifetime.  He served his community as a Boy Scout leader and volunteer fireman.  He was an avid gardener and took great pride in canning, pickling, and preparing his own vegetables for others to enjoy.  He held in high esteem his personal friends and business affiliates.  Above all, he excelled most in raising a family which he took great pride in and loved without measure.   Father of Mary Ann Papa, Dori Papa Santini (Greg), Lisa Papa Ferraiuolo (David), Anthony Papa, Jr., (Monika), Mark Papa (Teresa), and the late Nicholas Papa (Karen).  He was the brother of Marie Criscio (Pat), Theresa Coppola (Chris), the late Nicholas Papa (Evelyn), and the late Michael Papa (Carmel).  He was also survived by twelve grandchildren, Jessica Papa Hermann (Pat), Taylor and Nicholas Papa, Jr., Anthony, Lillian and Olivia Santini, Lindsay and Lauren Ferraiuolo, Sophia, Ava, and Anthony III, Papa, Samantha Papa, and two great grandchildren, Wesley and Warner Hermann.  The visiting hours will be Monday, June 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday morning, June 29th at 9:30 a.m.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, 10:00 am.  Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Down Syndrome Association of Connecticut, 60 Peter Court, New Britain, Connecticut 06051.
