Anthony Staffa, 90, of Guilford formerly of West Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the VAMC, West Haven. He was the husband of the late Beverly A. Urquhart Staffa. Anthony was born in Manhattan, New York on December 18, 1926 and was the son of the late Paul and Theresa DeLuca Staffa. He served his country faithfully in the US Marine Corp in the Western Pacific area during WW II. Anthony had worked as a carpenter all of his life until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W. and the National China Marines Association. Father of Gail Piscitelli and Gary Staffa (Patricia). Grandfather of Luigi Piscitelli, Beverly Walsh, Robert Donahue (Michael D’Agostino) and Michelle Staffa (Daniel Nadeau). Brother of Paul Staffa, Jr., Concetta Wilson, Annamarie DePascale (Alphonse) and the late Pauline Lombardi, Joseph and Daniel Staffa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Wednesday morning, Nov. 15th at 11:00 with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:00 until time of service. Interment with full military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
