Anthony “Tony” Cerino, 78, of Branford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Jean Ann DeMilo Cerino. Tony was born in New Haven on March 20, 1939 and was the son of the late Frank and Mary Chieppo Cerino. He served his country faithfully in the US Army. Tony graduated from Notre Dame High School, West Haven and DeVry Institute of Engineering, Chicago. A Real Estate Appraiser, Tony worked along with his son Pat at PC Appraisal Services. He enjoyed cooking, spending winters in Florida but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren who were the center of his world. Father of Frank (Keri) Cerino, Pasquale “Pat” Cerino and Maria (Harold) Juliano. Grandfather of Jenna Juliano, Anna Cerino, Melissa Juliano and Ava Juliano, Anthony David Cerino, Anthony Peter and Nicolas Cerino. Brother of Marilyn Marra and Linda Cerino. Also survived by beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Monday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church, North Haven at 11:30. Entombment with full military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Mausoleum, West Haven.
I wanted to give my condolences to the whole Cerino family. Tony was simply a great guy. He is in many memories of mine growing up. I always looked forward to seeing him. I’m sure he is at rest now.
